Bio
Leanne Waterhouse is a practicing artist living and working in Darwin, Northern Territory Australia.
Waterhouse works in a variety of media including photography, printmaking, textiles and new media. Her work is very influenced by the direct environment and for many years her focus has been on the environment of the Northern Territory, especially areas in Western Arnhem Land where she lived for two years. Currently the artists work is focused on the direct environment and how an individuals environment impacts mental health.
Waterhouse takes hundreds of photos of her subject matter and overlays and blends these images together in Photoshop. The artist enjoys the experimentation of printing and projecting onto different surfaces to create installations.
