Influenced by Martha Rosler's 1975 early feminist work 'Semiotics of the Kitchen'. IAM FRAGILE examines the notion of outwardly projected emotions compared to how individual often feel internally. The masking of emotion and the games we play to do it. #IAMANY invited fifteen Melbourne based artists to respond and create new work related to identity and placement in a time of sharing. I AM ANY can be interpreted a few ways - as in I am anybody, anyone - or I A MANY - we are all many people - the concept of the exhibition is 'Identity and Placement in a time of sharing' - hence the hash tag # as a sharing 'character' or media metadata tag. |
